Educators for Racial Justice collaborates with school communities to create lasting transformative change through the reimagining of systems, policies, and structures.

We work to increase the racial literacy of teachers and professionals by helping them better understand systemic oppression and intersectionality, while equipping them with tools for an ongoing commitment to antiracism. We firmly believe in creating communities of belonging for students, staff, and families and we can support you in building that foundation.

We work with professionals in the following areas to develop and sustain antiracist practices and culture:

  • Schools

  • Non-profits

  • Businesses

“From the initial conversation to the actualization of the programming, working with Jason and Azeb has been value added.  We have been working with Educators for Racial Justice over the past 9 months to offer school wide professional development during the school year and again in the summer as part of our annual Equity Institute which included educators from around the DC region.  Jason and Azeb are informed and experienced practitioners who care about helping schools and individuals do the necessary work to build inclusive, culturally competent environments.  Educators for Racial Justice is an active partner in supporting existing efforts while also fostering and facilitating an identity growth mindset within your setting.  They are not afraid to engage in the “pink elephant” conversations, provide a historical lens on race, and lead productive sessions on race related community impact.   Our school appreciates the initial presentations and our continued collaboration with Educators for Racial Justice.”
